Bruce Long Fox
Bruce Long Fox is a Lakota Sundancer and Pipe Carrier. He is an enrolled member of the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe. He grew up in Pierre, SD and attended St. Elizabeth Boarding School at Wakpala, South Dakota. Bruce graduated from the University of South Dakota with a BA in English and an MBA. Since 1992, Bruce has been the Executive Director of Rural America Initiatives (RAI) in Rapid City.
RAI employs Native American people to serve the needs of the low income Native American people moving to Rapid City from the surrounding eight reservations. Bruce aspires to live a traditional Lakota life in the modern world, and to try to keep the Lakota lifeway, values, and language alive and growing. Ho Hecetu, Mitakuyeoyasin.
