Sandy Diegel is the President & CEO for the John T. Vucurevich Foundation, a private foundation providing grants to area non-profits and initiatives. She grew up in the Gettysburg, SD area and has lived in Rapid City since 1983. Sandy has been married to her husband Scott for 35 years, and they have two children and four grandsons.
Sandy has 35 years experience in business and nonprofit administration. Her experience includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of a large behavioral health nonprofit for almost 18 years. Sandy has expertise in strategic planning, board and organizational development, budget and financial management, program development, collaborative and strategic partnerships, continuous quality improvement, group facilitation, legislative and public policy initiatives and collective impact. Sandy has held leadership positions on the boards of a variety of local community organizations, as well as state and regional boards and task forces. She currently serves as a Diplomat for the Rapid City Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Rapid City Investment Committee and Governor Daugaard’s Primary Care Task Force.
Sandy believes the education and relationships gained through the five day bus tour that kicked off MOA’s work, and the subsequent activities, have been invaluable to her and others.
